I’m Carmela, and I’m here to help. As a qualified Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapist (CBH), I use an evidence-based approach that combines cognitive behavioral techniques with hypnotherapy to address both your conscious thoughts and the subconscious patterns that influence your behaviour. My work supports clients suffering with anxiety, phobias, IBS, pain and habits they want to change.

Every session is personalised and collaborative. Together, we’ll explore what may be keeping you stuck and develop practical tools to help you feel calmer, more confident, and in control. My aim is to create a space where you feel supported to explore your thoughts and behaviours and make meaningful change in your life, whether in person or online.

I am a proud member of the International Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (ICIP), and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy (Dip CBH). These memberships and qualifications reflect my commitment to professional, ethical, and evidence-based practice.

If you prefer to have therapy remotely, sessions are also available via zoom offering flexible and confidential support wherever you are.

    I honestly can’t recommend Carmela highly enough. I’ve had a lifelong, genuinely crippling fear of flying that has shaped so many decisions in my life, and I’d reached the point where I believed it was something I’d just have to live with. I even tried a well-known hypnotherapist who worked with the Kardashians(!), but despite the hype, it didn’t touch the fear in any meaningful or lasting way.

    Working with Carmela through CB hypnotherapy was completely different. Her approach was thoughtful, grounded, and tailored to how my mind actually works. Rather than just trying to override the fear, we unpacked it, understood it, and then rewired it in a way that finally made sense to my nervous system.

    For the first time in my life, flying no longer feels terrifying or overwhelming. That still feels remarkable to say. The change hasn’t been superficial or forced it feels real, calm, and integrated.
