I’m Carmela, and I’m here to help. As a qualified Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapist (CBH), I use an evidence-based approach that combines cognitive behavioral techniques with hypnotherapy to address both your conscious thoughts and the subconscious patterns that influence your behaviour. My work supports clients suffering with anxiety, phobias, IBS, pain and habits they want to change.
Every session is personalised and collaborative. Together, we’ll explore what may be keeping you stuck and develop practical tools to help you feel calmer, more confident, and in control. My aim is to create a space where you feel supported to explore your thoughts and behaviours and make meaningful change in your life, whether in person or online.
I am a proud member of the International Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (ICIP), and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy (Dip CBH). These memberships and qualifications reflect my commitment to professional, ethical, and evidence-based practice.

Fears, Phobias & Anxiety
Support for anxiety, fears, phobias, and low self-esteem focuses on understanding the patterns that keep anxiety active and confidence low. Sessions combine practical cognitive and behavioural strategies with gentle, supportive hypnotherapy to help clients feel calmer, more regulated, and more confident in themselves.
Changing Your Relationship with Food
Help for people who want to move away from unhelpful eating patterns and develop a calmer, more balanced relationship with food, without dieting. Sessions focus on understanding the thoughts, habits, and emotional triggers that drive eating behaviours, using practical cognitive strategies alongside gentle, supportive hypnotherapy. This approach helps reduce food-related stress, increase awareness and support lasting, sustainable change.
Smoking & Vaping
This approach helps people change habits around smoking or vaping and reduce the pull of cravings. Sessions focus on understanding personal triggers, automatic patterns, and the role stress or emotion can play in maintaining the habit. Practical cognitive strategies are used alongside gentle, supportive hypnotherapy where appropriate, helping to strengthen motivation, increase a sense of control and choice, and support more sustainable behaviour change over time.
Gut-Directed Hypnotherapy
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy works with the gut–brain connection by supporting nervous system regulation and helping people respond differently to stress and unhelpful thought patterns that can affect digestive symptoms. This approach is well researched and is often used to support individuals who experience ongoing gut discomfort, bloating, and stress, alongside appropriate medical care.
Providing you with a safe space to relax
Your in-person sessions will take place in one of my two calming therapy spaces, located in The Mind and Body Rooms, St Helier or Elemental Health, St Peter. Each space is designed to help you feel calm, grounded and supported as we work.
Remote options
If you prefer to have therapy remotely, sessions are also available via zoom offering flexible and confidential support wherever you are.
